With a call from the Friends of the Bovenkerk Urban Church Foundation to write a poem with the theme:
- the new church garden,
- the new tower lighting and
- and now six years after the fatal fire
are beautiful and special poems sent in.
Also Nikki Szofia our city poet created a poem as well as the city poet of Aalsmeer. These poems are displayed and recited in the church garden where special flower arrangements are also placed.
On Saturday September 14 and Sunday September 15 you can come and admire the beautiful new garden. You will be welcomed with a cup of coffee/tea.
Very special is that the flower arrangements will also be highlighted on these two evenings. On Sunday, 11:30 a.m., the garden will be officially opened with lots of drumming. A tree will also be planted then to thank all the volunteers and donors.
And then on Saturday evening, September 14, at 7:30 p.m., the new tower lights will also go on for the first time. The organization is going to perform this in a very spectacular way. There is a real viewing area set up, where you are welcome.
