Bovenkerk is on the edge of the Amsterdamse Bos and just on the other side of the forest something beautiful is happening.
Indian summer festival "Colorful"
At De Boshalte we are currently also creating a place for young people: in the immediate area there is not so much for young people in terms of hanging out and meeting places, entertainment etc. and in order to strengthen social cohesion in the neighborhood we want to reach them in particular. Young people from all other neighborhoods in Amstelveen and Amsterdam are also welcome.
To festively put our "youth project" on the map, we are organizing a small festival on our terrace at the edge of the Amsterdamse Bos/Bosbaan on September 14.
The Forest Stop

De Boshalte is a very cozy place for young and old at the edge of the Amsterdamse Bos. We serve coffee and cake, and we have a bike rental service: there is often party time here, especially on Sundays!
Among other things, we offer a workplace for people with a distance to the labor market, and we organize activities to promote social cohesion in the neighborhood.
Inclusiveness is very important to us. This was very visible when "Donnie's Magic Ball" came to us, but we also have a festive mixed crowd every weekend.
Youth Project
We also organize weekly activities for young people: on Thursday evenings we always have something fun along the lines of craft night/movie night/pizza night/games night, and on Saturday mornings we offer a boot camp. We also have monthly music afternoons with a "jam" afterwards.
