Mieke Regelink, a member of the organization team Zomerfeest Bovenkerk, proudly reports that she has found the president of NOC*NSF, Anneke van Zanen, willing to officially open the Olympic children's games during Zomerfeest Bovenkerk on Saturday afternoon, July 13.
Hoisting Olympic flag
The opening ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. and will consist of hoisting the Olympic flag as well as the Bovenkerk flag that the children made themselves during last year's Summer Festival.
Moving together
The organization of Zomerfeest Bovenkerk has chosen this year's theme "Olympic Games" in reference to the Olympic Games that start July 26 in Paris. The goal is to let children experience how much fun it is to move together through various sports games. While playing you get to know each other better and it is healthy too.
Sports Fun
Bovenkerk is proud that NOC*NSF supports the Summer Festival with the presence of Van Zanen-Nieberg. The sports organization's own goal is to promote sports in the Netherlands. Their ambition is for the Netherlands to become the sportiest country in the world. NOC*NSF does this by ensuring that more people enjoy sports thanks to sports and exercise. This year's theme of Zomerfeest Bovenkerk fits perfectly with that.
About NOC*NSF
