Friday, Jan. 19, at the Noorddam Center, Bovenkerk Foundation hosted its annual New Year's reception for all volunteers and associations involved in the local community at Bovenkerk. More than 150 volunteers in the neighborhood are involved in the many neighborhood activities organized at the Noorddam Center, the Urbanus Park, the VOKA building and the Urbanus Church.
Volunteers of the year honored
Two special Bovenkerk volunteers were put in the spotlight during the New Year's drinks on Jan. 19. Brothers Jaap and Gerrit Verbruggen received the award "Volunteer of the Year 2023.
The gentlemen have been involved in various events over the past year. Jaap and Gerrit are always ready with great positivity and energy to assist in the many activities of Bovenkerk Foundation.

Foundation Bovenkerk thanks all the associations and volunteers who work for the Upper Church community.
