Until the end of October, Gemeente Amstelveen will come to pick up your tiles for free.
The municipality of Amstelveen is participating in the NK Tegelwippen and is offering a free tile collection service for this purpose. With this the municipality wants to encourage its residents to replace tiles in the garden for greenery. Through October, tiles from Amstelveen residents will be collected free of charge.
Preventing Waterlogging
During the NK Tegelwippen, as many gardens as possible throughout the Netherlands will be turned green in order to prevent waterlogging, provide coolness in times of heat, retain water in times of drought and increase habitat for plants and animals. Moreover, a green living environment is good for well-being.
