On July 2 from 15:30-17:30 in Wijkcentrum Bilderdijkhof, Bilderdijkstraat 1 in Uithoorn, the Parkinson Café Uithoorn will be festively opened.
The grand opening will be held by director of the Parkinson(ism) Association Nickie van der Wulp and with the chairman of the board of the Parkinson(ism) Association. Alderman Care and Social Support of the Municipality of Uithoorn José de Roble will speak in the presence of Alderman Care and Welfare of the Municipality of Amstelveen Marijn van Ballegooijen.
The Parkinson Café Uithoorn is an accessible meeting place for people with Parkinson(isms) disease, their partners, family members and caregivers. In a relaxed atmosphere various topics are discussed. Besides exchanging information and experiences, the Parkinson's Café also allows you to make contact with fellow sufferers.
The Parkinson Café Uithoorn was preceded by several meetings. From July 2024 we will meet 4x a year, mostly the first Tuesday of the quarter from 15:30 - 17:30. Locations are 2x a year in Uithoorn, 1x in Amstelveen and 1x in Kudelstaart.

Moving Theme
Each Parkinson's Café is dedicated to a particular theme. At the opening, we thought the
theme of moving was a good fit because people with Parkinson's disease have something to
win there. David Siebeler as a registered ParkinsonNet physical therapist takes us
into the world of movement and challenges you to come and box especially.
During the opening, it is possible to register for a three-part boxing clinic at Bovenkerk for €15.
