On May 27, 2024, the Bike 4-day and weekly cycling will begin on Thursday mornings. The North Dam Center is the pick-up and drop-off point. During the vacations we will continue as usual. Everyone is welcome to join! The activity is free and there is no need to sign up in advance.

We're off!
The bike groups will leave at 9:30 a.m. and be back no later than 11:30 a.m. The North Dam Center will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (even if the weather is bad) for meetings between all cycling groups. Before departure and after entering, cyclists can enjoy coffee and apple pie.

The Amstelveen Bike 4-Day
The Amstelveen Bike 4-Day is from May 27 to May 30, 2024. As the name suggests, we will go on a bicycle tour 4 days in a row. The routes run through the national network of cycling nodes. You can choose either a 20 or 30 kilometer trip. Then weekly cycling will start on June 6, 2024.

Cycling groups and safety
There are different groups depending on the type of bike and fitness level. Safety is paramount while cycling in groups. This includes information about wearing a bike helmet, the bike mirror, special vests for the companions of the bike group and a bike bag for emergency assistance (bike pump, a tool kit, an AED and first aid kit).

Doortrappen tot je 100ste
Doortrappen is a national program to help people over 55 cycle longer, more safely and with more fun. Eight municipalities in Transport Region Amsterdam are part of this program, including municipality Amstelveen.
