On Monday, Feb. 10, Mantelzorg & Meer starts the program "Attention to Yourself," a series of meetings for family caregivers who need relaxation and time for themselves. There are still a few places available.
During this program, you alternate walking with awareness and relaxation exercises, such as breathing exercises, mindfulness and gentle movement. Enjoying nature and relaxed movement helps improve self-care and well-being. Afterwards, there is an opportunity to drink coffee or tea together and exchange experiences. The program is intended for family caregivers from Aalsmeer, Amstelveen, Uithoorn and Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, who have little time to think about themselves due to their care duties.
Practical
Participants should be able to walk for about five quarters of an hour on sometimes bumpy trails. Wear comfortable clothing in layers and shoes with a good tread. Guidance is provided by a certified living and exercise coach. Participation is free.
Dates and location
The next walk is on Monday, Feb. 10, 1:15 - 2:30 pm. Gather at Eetcafé Silversant, Noorddammerlaan 119, Amstelveen.
Continued dates in 2025 are: March 14,April 7, May 16, June 23, July 4, Sept. 1, Friday, Oct. 10 and Nov. 17.
