Since 2015 the ADE party where people with movement limitations are especially welcome.
On October 20, 2023 from 12:00 to 14:00, the roof will go off again at our annual ADE party especially for people with movement limitations! DJ Saskia Laval will get us into the flow with her overwhelming live set, led by our inspiring and super enthusiastic Dido Mirck. Be welcome to dance the way you want and experience the joy of doing so with others. Location is ICK dance Amsterdam, Delflandlaan 2, 1062 EB Amsterdam.
The most important thing is dancing together. After all, dancing is so much more than just moving. Through imagination and the rhythm of the music, moving becomes so much nicer (and easier) to do. Moreover, dancing with a whole group or with a partner gives a feeling of togetherness and extra energy.Everyone can participate to their own ability even if your mobility is limited to a wheelchair. No one is perfect and everyone is unique.
Guidance - let us know you are coming
Because we would like to arrange a good place with appropriate guidance for everyone, it is nice if you sign up in advance by email dancewithsaskialaval@bovenkerk.me. If you are able to bring someone with you who knows you and accompanies you, that is a plus. But without a partner you are also welcome. Admission is free. To cover expenses, there is a tip jar.
Saskia Laval
Made a remarkable transition at the age of 57 from lecturer at Nyenrode to successful techno DJ/ producer in Amsterdam. She is founder of Temple Hardtechno, for which she collaborates with colleagues from Berlin, among others. Saskia has played in the major cities of Europe including Amsterdam - Berlin - Vienna - Krakow - Brighton and Villach.

Led by passionate dancer Dido Mirck, dance is embraced as a means of liberating and empowering people. Focusing on people with movement challenges, such as Parkinson's and MS, DansPark provides a safe and inspiring environment where self-expression and body acceptance are central. These dance classes bring health, joy and freedom as dancers discover their creativity and experience the power of togetherness, space and music.
ReDiscoverMe
Stichting ReDiscoverMe contributes to an inclusive dancing Netherlands with dance(projects) for everyone and in particular for vulnerable target groups, including people with a chronic illness and/or other physical challenges. Because dancing makes a difference! The name says it all: rediscover myself.
