Saturday night, April 6, Young Urbanus will take place for the third time at the Noorddamcentrum Bovenkerk. Young Urbanus has become the hotspot for young bands in Amstelveen! Entrance is free. The first performance starts at 19:30. Full is full!
Six up-and-coming bands
The participating bands are sure to rock the Noorddam Center April 6. Six bands have signed up for this edition. The musical styles range from disco/soul, pop, blues and solid rock to unadulterated punk. The bands play mostly covers and have performed before at student parties and other festivals, among others.
Impressive stage
This is the varied lineup for musical spectacle:
- The Rakers: band whose two band members have Bovenkerk roots. This band excels in indie rock, but also ventures into pop/rock classics and punk
- Black Vinyl: rock band on the up and up
- Big Time: funky big band with members of Muziek- en Dansschool Amstelveen
- High Fidelity: cover band from Amstelveen
- Byron's Romance: punk/rock band from the Amstelveen area. They play covers and are working on their own songs
- Lazer My Love: friends band from the British School of Amsterdam
Young talent shines
Young Urbanus offers young musical talent the opportunity to trade their attic room or rehearsal space for a real stage. This way young people can gain stage experience and show their friends, fellow students, family and music lovers from Amstelveen and the surrounding area what they have to offer.
