Want to enjoy a fun, musical, and inclusive afternoon? Then come to the workshop afternoon hosted by the percussion group " Bovenkerk." Whether you’ve been playing music for years or have never played an instrument before, everyone is welcome to join.
2:00 – 4:00 p.m. | Play-in & Workshop “
” We’ll learn a few upbeat songs together. Don’t have a musical background? Then feel free to join our samba players. You’ll play simple, upbeat rhythms on an instrument like a drum. Can you read music? Then you’re more than welcome to join the percussionists and play along on an instrument like a marimba.
4:30 – 5:00 p.m. | Mini-concert & record attempt for Amstelveen’s largest samba band
Do you find the workshop a little nerve-wracking? No problem—just come listen to the concert. Of course, we’ll play the songs we’ve rehearsed that afternoon, but we’ll end on a spectacular note: together with all the participants and the audience, we’ll try to form the biggest samba band in Amstelveen! Everyone gets an instrument, and under the direction of our music director, a musical spectacle will unfold that you won’t want to miss. Will you join us?
