But as Parkinson’s progresses, it becomes more challenging, and expectations change. That’s how the role of the caregiver emerges.

Informal care focuses on daily activities in and around the home, as well as on social aspects. As the years go by, the care required increases, and the informal caregiver may also take on medical tasks.

If you’re caring for someone with Parkinson’s, it’s a good idea to explore the many aspects of informal care. The Parkinson Café features a highly experienced panel of professional informal care support specialists, whom we’ll be interviewing in a conversational style. In addition, there will be several experts by experience in the audience from whom we can learn a great deal.
