Press Release

October 14, 2026

Mantelzorg & Meer offers a support group for family caregivers who care for a loved one with an acquired brain injury.

The consequences of acquired brain injury—caused by an accident, chronic illness, or, for example, a brain hemorrhage—are often very far-reaching. Are you caring for someone with an acquired brain injury (ABI)? This brings with it specific questions and challenges. Do you feel the need to share your experiences with other family caregivers in a similar situation? Then join this support group, which meets every six weeks. The group is facilitated by a staff member from Mantelzorg & Meer.

The support group is for informal caregivers who live in the municipalities of Aalsmeer, Amstelveen, Haarlemmermeer, Uithoorn, or Ouderkerk aan de Amstel.

The next discussion group will be held on Thursday, November 12, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The location is the Mantelzorg & Meer Office, Dr. Willem Dreesweg 2 in Amstelveen.
