Dear professional, community partner, or residents’ group, “
” Amstelveen is working to ensure we are well-prepared for emergencies. Emergency support centers are being set up at various locations for situations in which daily life is severely disrupted, such as prolonged power outages or other major disasters. One of these key locations is the Westend Community Center, which, together with the De Bolder Community Center, Theater De Landing, and the Amstelveen Town Hall, plays a key role.

We are writing to invite you to a working meeting focused on the Westend Community Center, which will take place on June 24, 2026. The meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 12:00 p.m.

At this meeting, we ask that you actively help set up the emergency support center at the Westend Community Center. Building on the first exploratory meeting held at City Hall on April 1, we are bringing professionals together around a shared sense of urgency and a collective responsibility. The central question is: How can we work together to establish a reliable, accessible, and community-focused emergency support center?

This meeting is interactive and results-oriented: we will share knowledge and experiences, strengthen our collaboration, and work together to identify concrete next steps. Your input is essential to turning ideas into practical solutions that work in the neighborhood. The agenda will be sent separately.

Welcome to the emergency support center
