Come see
On Thursday, March 27, at 8 p.m., the steeple of St. Urbanuskerk Bovenkerk will be illuminated. This is when the old halogen lighting will be replaced with LED lighting. The new lighting was made possible by proceeds from the sale of chocolate bars by the Friends of the Bovenkerk Urbanus Foundation. An enthusiastic group of volunteers has worked with suppliers over the past few months to successfully complete this project.
A long trajectory
Last year, the LED project started with the goal of benefiting from it that very winter. Several times the schedule had to be adjusted. Among other things, the lighting plan was adjusted in response to test results for better results. A system control was chosen that allows lighting with different colors. This allows the lighting to be adjusted to suit the atmosphere of this monumental building. It also makes it possible to light the church and tower in a different color on special days of remembrance and holidays.
Come watch on Thursday, March 27 at 8 p.m.
The result is really beautiful and we would like to show it to you as buyers of the St. Urbanus Chocolate. Be surprised by a unique arrangement with this lighting. Bovenkerk is going to shine again! Come all and see.
