In the November issue of Kom Bij Ons, Peter Huizinga announced that the boards of KBO Amstelveen/Ouder-Amstel and KBO Bovenkerk have decided to discontinue offering the Senior Citizens Advice Service and tax return assistance through both KBO associations. This decision has led to a number of disappointed reactions from KBO members. The tax return assistance providers themselves also regret this decision. They would like to continue helping KBO members.

Following the decision by both KBO boards, the Bovenkerk Foundation has Bovenkerk the situation that has arisen. After consultation with various parties involved, this has led to the decision that, Bovenkerk today, the Bovenkerk Foundation will take over the KBO's role in providing advice to the elderly and assistance with completing tax returns. The Foundation will seek additional advisors and assistance to ensure that this service can continue in the future. They will also provide proper training and refresher courses for volunteers.

For advice for seniors, you can visit the Noorddamcentrum in Bovenkerk every Wednesday morning between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. Someone will be there to help you. If you are unable to visit the Noorddamcentrum, you can also contact us by email (bpbovenkerk@gmail.com) or by phone (020-3455876).

When completing their tax returns, CBE members who already used this service will, in principle, continue to receive the same assistance as before. We are delighted that Nel de Waal, Jo Jannink, Dick Donath, and Gerard Miltenburg have indicated that they wish to continue their voluntary work as tax return assistants.

However, Nel de Waal will be less able to help and will therefore seek another solution for some of her clients in consultation with them. To be clear: the Bovenkerk Foundation Bovenkerk not only Bovenkerk elderly people from Bovenkerk with their tax returns, but also members of the KBO who live in another town or neighborhood and already use the tax return assistance service.

For questions about advice for seniors or tax return assistance, please contact Gerard Miltenburg, email bpbovenkerk@gmail.com or telephone number 020- 3455876.
