Lonneke's living room provides a place where people touched by cancer can come with their stories and experiences. In an intimate and approachable setting, they are welcome here to share concerns, sadness but also joy.
The living room was founded by Lonneke Bikker and Sandrine Kwast. Lonneke is an expert by experience and wants to use her experience of being sick and especially the process afterwards, to help others. Sandrine Kwast is expert by experience (as a loved one) and has her own practice as a holistic therapist and yoga teacher where she counsels people with cancer, trauma and/or loss.
At the living room, anyone who has been touched by cancer can come in for a listening ear and a cup of coffee or tea. At the same time, many activities are organized. These include creative things like painting, intuitive clay modeling, making flower arrangements or macramé.
Lonneke's Living Room can be found in the VOKA building on three Mondays a month. Registration is not necessary, you can just walk in. Which activity is scheduled each time is announced on Lonneke's Living Room's page on Facebook and Instagram. You can find more additional information on the website www.lonnekeshuiskamer.nl.
