Saturday, June 27, from 2:00 p.m. to7:00 p.m., is the big day: the tenthedition of the Summer Festival inUrbanus Park. A milestone for theevent, which has now becomeBovenkerk’spremier village festival. So it’s extra festive this year, andeveryone is warmly invited tojoin us in celebratingthisanniversary!
During the Summer Festival, young and old come together for an afternoon filled with socializing, music, children’s activities, and delicious food. It’s the perfect place for neighbors to meet up, but also where former residents of Bovenkerk return year after year. This makes the festival a true reunion. Many visitors from outside Bovenkerk also Bovenkerk the festival well.
Street fair and food alley
This year’s program is once again packed with exciting events. With over 30 stalls, there’s plenty to discover at the fair. In the cozy food alley, you can enjoy poffertjes, hamburgers, and full meals from Samen Eten Bovenkerk—all at reasonable prices. Would you like to rent a stall? Live music
The music stage will be buzzing with excitement all afternoon. Highlights include the band Big Time, with their funk and acid jazz sounds, and Itchycoo Park, performing well-known blues and rock classics, ensuring a fantastic musical lineup.
Children's program
For our youngest visitors, there will be a lively performance by the band Flapuit in the playground near the wading pool in Urbanus Park, where all the children’s activities will take place. Here, kids can let loose with sports and games, creative workshops, and fun breakdancing workshops.
All Bovenkerk Bakes
Home bakers show off their best work during "Heel Bovenkerk ." The most beautiful and delicious creations will be judged by the jury from Banketbakkerij Arnold Cornelis, and then, of course, the public will get to taste them.
