Saturday, July 5 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Urbanuspark will once again transform into the beating heart of Bovenkerk during the annual Summer Festival. This year the party is dedicated to a special anniversary: 80 years of freedom. At a time when freedom cannot be taken for granted, this theme takes on extra meaning.
The Summer Festival has become a beloved tradition in Bovenkerk. The event brings young and old together for an afternoon full of encounters, music, children's activities, good food and especially lots of fun. Everyone is welcome to reflect together on what freedom means and to enjoy everything that makes Bovenkerk so unique.
What can visitors expect?
- Braderie & food avenue: With more than 40 stalls, there is plenty to see, experience and taste. In the cozy food avenue, everyone can go for poffertjes, hamburgers and complete menus from Samen Eten Bovenkerk.
- Music stage: Live performances for young and old create a festive atmosphere. And there is a good chance that visitors will sing along with the well-known village song "Ode to Bovenkerk" at the top Bovenkerktheir voices.
- Heel Bovenkerk Bakt: Admire and taste the most beautiful cakes made by neighbors. The delicacies will be judged by the jury of Pastry Chef Arnold Cornelis - then the public gets to taste.
- Children's activities: Children can indulge in sports and games, break dancing classes, a joyful silent disco and creative workshops on the theme of freedom. Afterwards, they will receive a freedom pin with certificate.
